I'm Teaching a Cooking Class!

Yup, you read it right.  I am teaching a cooking class in October and my most favorite cafe, Ciao Thyme.  Ciao Thyme is the best food in Bellingham, and they also teach various cooking classes throughout the year.

While I was eating there for a pre-birthday lunch (all by myself, just as I asked for), savoring each bite, I began talking with Mataio (co-owner with his wife Jessica) about how I was realizing that I want to take advantage of the opportunity to teach cooking classes to moms.  Many friends have encouraged me along this process, but I continue to "hem" & "ha" about my qualifications.

Not even a minute into our conversation Mataio burst out, "Why don't you teach it here?" Me completely stunned, "Really?!"  "Yeah! I don't know what a mom would need, you do! Shoot Jessica an email about a proposal.  She's putting together the Fall roster," he said.

So, through a series of emails with her, I would wake one morning to a Ciao Thyme newsletter to see this:

It felt a little surreal.  I have people telling me they've already signed up, which makes me honored, giddy & a bit overwhelmed.  If you're in the area, I would love for you sign up and I promise it will be worth your effort.  Would you share this with someone you know who would love to be there?  I would be incredibly grateful!

C'mon over to Ciao Thyme for the class listing!
