We are en route back home after spending pre-Christmas day with Ben's folks.
It will be our first year waking up Christmas morning with just our family, which is a sweet treat for me as we begin creating our own traditions as a family of five.
We want to wish you a Merry Christmas!
May you know the depth & breadth of Immanuel with us, whether you are in mourning or rejoicing.
May you feast before everyone vows to purge the cabinets and go on a diet come New Years.
May you give a warm touch, a kind word, teach how to play a game, or listen to friend, spouse, or child.
We pray you would hear in both mind & soul the words of Silent Night.
As the American soldiers & German soldiers lay down their weapons for that one Silent Night on a bitterly cold Christmas Eve during WWI.
May we too, lay aside strife to heed heavenly peace.
We are thankful for you making our table more full, whether you've personally dined with us or not. It's because of you, which keeps me wanting to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly. Merry Christmas!
I'm copying a couple others in the blogosphere, and ask if you would sign your name in the comments below as the guests to the table. Where are you celebrating Christmas this year?
