Hiatus

Do you ever need to give yourself permission to enjoy life?

My laundry, dishes and feeding family could be a full time job (and all mothers shout an AMEN).  I don't know about you, but I can begin to steamroll these jobs if I'm not careful, which leads to becoming Miss Grumpy Frumpy Pants to my kids.  I begin to resent them and their interruptions (don't they understand that I need to hear the whooshing of the washing).

But, it's in times like Friday horrific tragedy and the onslaught of Christmas break, where God reminds me to allow for "things" to take a backseat to real life living.

And with that, I am allowing for this little space to be quiet till New Year.  Until then, hold the ones you love closely, even if at times they are driving you nuts.  Pray to live & love fiercely.  To delight in those you cannot stand at the moment.  And eat good food with any who sup at your table.

If you need some food ideas for Christmas morning, check out the recipes section paying close attention to breakfast & breads.

And of late, I've been inspired by some beautiful shots on Pinterest regarding the table & food This one makes me weepy.
