Redeeming the Table

sharing stories, hospitality & food with friend & stranger

Redeeming the table shares stories of faith & life around the table, while utilizing real food focusing on the Paleo diet and extending hospitality to welcome others to it.  Kamille Scellick is the voice behind Redeeming the Table, and she speaks candidly and openly of her own story, struggles, and triumphs in sharing the table.  She is a mom to three girls, one who has special needs.  She is the wife to Ben.  She loves Jesus.

Kindergarten Graduation (church edition)

Toward the end of August, our children's ministry applauds, whoops & honors these little people graduating up to first grade. They are adorned in baby blue gowns & larger than life caps, which cling like a bad birthday hat.

The team lead, affectionately known as Teacher Gretchen, spoke a word about the class as a whole & individually. They received a gift of a big kid Bible to which V asks me, "How come there are a lot of number ones in there?"

T. Gretchen said this of V, "V, you have a great imagination & are such creative." She has always been a bit larger than life. And I'm pretty sure her life mantra to this point (she just doesn't know it) is, "Go big or go home."

She is definitely not my little kinder anymore, but she'll always be my little girl.

Ducky Duck

It may be blurry, but you get the picture. Ya know, baby in a Halloween costume against her will, while her parents chuckle out of sheer cuteness factor. Believe me, I did you a favor by posting a blurry picture; because, this much cuteness in the flesh would have caused you to overdose.

Just looking out for ya!

The Glory of Being Your Grandpa's Granddaughter

It must be said that Granny & Grandpa's house is one of the girls favorite places to be. They anticipate seeing them as we pull into the driveway to see what they will behold on the couch to having their own spots in the basement for sleeping.

They also know that every Labor Day weekend we go to the fair, while they have no clue our county has one. Grandpa has tickets & all you can ride bracelets via work and a red golf cart to be chauffeured in.

Tay went with Grandpa all by herself to the Fair as they went around and had lunch together. But, upon returning home I felt as though I was looking at my four year old self. She was styling a pink cowgirl hat.

Grandpa cannot resist buying something for his girls; but, after seeing her in it...I don't know if I would either.
